 Microsoft’s Windows phone 7 ads are out, and the reaction seems to be rather mixed. The ads seem to focus more on humour rather than anything else.

While comedy is an effective way to grab eyeballs, due emphasis should be placed on the product too.

Most of the ads seem like teasers, showing just a single cool feature of the phone. While the ads look sleek, they fail to promote the entire Windows Phone 7, which is its major aim.

The latest ad is an attempt at improvement, showing many software features within a 30 second window.
