The HTC Flyer was announced last month at the Mobile World Congress, and has been evoking constant interest ever since. It is an Android 2.4-powered device with a 7-inch touchscreen display, a 1.5GHz processor, 32GB storage, 1GB RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a video-calling enabling front-facing camera. Well, we couldn’t have asked for much more!

HTC is rumored to have placed an initial order for over 1 million units of the tablets with manufacturers, which shows that it is pretty confident about it. HTC is also expected to launch two more Androis tablets in the first half of 2011.

Taiwan Economic News also says that the Flyer would launch somewhere in the neighborhood of $600, which is approximately $100 less than the 32GB iPad 2 WiFi + 3G model from Apple.
