According to news around the web, the current version of iOS for the iPhone has a small bug when it comes to going off Daylight Savings Time (DST). Now while the iPhone clock makes the proper time adjustment to fall back when the DST adjustment occurs, apparently some iPhone alarm settings are not making that same time transition to fall back one hour. The iPhone alarm bug was recently discovered in Australia during their DST transition, but has now been reported in Europe when the time change affected them as well.

As we are coming up on the North American switch from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time on November 7th, chances are good the iPhone alarm bug will hit here as well. As of now there is word from Apple on a fix to this issue, but we are not sure when. Just to be safe, you may want to double-check your alarm times next Monday or better still, have a backup alarm system in place.
